About the Artist

Brenda Holt decided to try her luck in stained glass art in 1990. After 6 weeks of attending stained glass class in Charlotte, NC her instructor said to be sure not to quit her day job because stained glass art was certainly not her niche. Yes, there was evidence that there were no artistic skills in her body. Yet, she did not give up and continued to practice whenever the time allowed. But in 2001, she found herself with more time to explore these crafty abilities due to a job loss. By September of that year, she was devoting at least 20 hours each week to learning the intricacy of this art form. In 2005, Brenda began to teach stained glass classes to groups and individuals along with creating/designing stained glass panels for cabinet doors, exterior windows, gardens, signs, and ethnic art as commissioned work. Today, Brenda has quite a few stained glass pieces placed in art galleries, churches, and homes throughout the United States and is excited to pass these skills along to you!

About the Artist

I've always had a love for the arts so I decided to pursue a career in teaching so that I could share my passion with others. I graduated from Gardner Webb University with a bachelors degree of arts and began teaching art at Crest High School in 2014. I have the best job in the world because I get to go in every day and show students all of the amazing things that can happen by practicing art.
