Hal Bryant’s photography is the result of a journey of observation that began over 40 years ago. He loves to explore, driving to see what is around the next bend, getting out and roaming the landscape, abandoned buildings, or taking in the general view. Hal lives in Shelby, NC. He has a B.A. from Gardner-Webb University and a M.A. in Art Studio from the University of South Carolina.

The hidden treasures of nature are what interests Ellen Devenny. Her photographs are successful in pulling the viewer into a hidden world, filled with beauty, wonder and mystery. Ellen Devenny lives in Kings Mountain, N.C. and has been creating photographs for over a decade.

This will be a fun 1-day event to benefit the Arts Council. You will find great deals on: Frames, Art, Pottery, Easels, Fabric, Yarn, Sewing Machine, Thread, Supplies, Tools & so much More!

Please nothing broken except mosaic supplies (tiles, plates, glass) these must be in a boxed. Also accepting: Unfinished kits, yarn materials, jewelry (please bag in zip lock style bag), paints, frames, brushes, easels, prints, game pieces, art materials & supplies, pottery, art books, fabric, etc, etc.

"Annual Student Art Exhibit" Exhibit Dates: April 10th - May 1

This exhibit features two regional artists whose paintings reflect the faces and places of yesterday and today. Historical and current portraits, landscapes and rustic buildings are brought to life through the brush strokes of Thomas Kelly Pauley
and Martha Moore.

"Annual Cleveland County Artist Competition" Delivery of your entries to Arts Center: June 6, 10am - 5pm

This exhibit features a rich and varied showcase of the talent that lies in Cleveland County. Local artists exhibit their work and compete for awards totaling $2,050 in this prestigious competition. Everyone in Cleveland County is invited to submit artwork!

"15th Annual Real to Reel International Film Festival" July 9th - July 12

Our goal is to showcase thought-provoking films and offer a venue where movie lovers who appreciate independent vision can celebrate this unique art form. Located in the heart of North Carolina between Asheville and Charlotte, Cleveland County is right in the middle of it all. The mission of the Real to Reel International Film Festival is to offer a forum for independent film, video and multi-media artists from around the world to showcase their talents and expose the works of these artists to our region. Real to Reel is a production of the Cleveland County Arts Council but is held at the Joy Performance Center, 202 S. Railroad Ave., Kings Mountain, NC 28086.
